Interwoven buys Scrittura

Interwoven has bought another niche product vendor called Scrittura. Scrittura is a provider of document automation technology for over the counter derivatives trading business.

Mergers and Acquisitions have been increasing in this space. This acquisition signals an end of another niche player but gives Interwoven a broader footprint in the financial services vertical. The solution has Automated Document Generation, Document Management and Business Process management as three components. I think there will be an overlap of some features between their existing offerings and this one. So, it will be interesting to see if Interwoven sells this solution as a stand alone offering or integrates it with their other products.
